Alarm type sound from car when locked, plus hazards.

Just noticed the past couple of days that when I lock the car, every now and again an Alarm will go off. Not the big alarm, but more of a higher pitched beeping and the hazards go on.

I got no idea why its doing it.

Any ideas guys?

IIRC that *is* the big alarm... it's designed to put people off being inside the car rather than let the world know about it. It generally goes off due to the interior sensors, but I think you can check what is causing it using VCDS.

yes press the disabe in car sensor button on drivers side pillar between front and back its a iluminated red button, this is on my rs4 as i have same problem with the alarm this will stop it going off but u have to keep car unlocked but as mine is garaged it is fine for me. hope this helps new user steven.

might be a cob web on the sensor and a spider.lol.
