I've been lurking around this forum for a while but this is my first post. Unfortunately it's about our old friend DRC. I've read about an Audi tech guide which shoes the recommended way to troubleshoot this issue. Does anyone have a copy of this please?

IMO - The only recommended way is to get rid of the damn thing!
Good luck anyway...

Hi there welcome to the wonderful world of Audi suspension replacement !!
I have an Audi Dealer self study guide from the U.S. which was sent to me by another forum user (thanks Hy octane)
If You PM Me I'll forward a copy to You or if I can work out how to add it to this post I will........
If You are paying for the work out of Your own pocket dont bother getting the DRC replaced, rip it out and get some proper shocks....
I'm just waiting for mine to go again..........

Such a common thing to go, and if you did repair it or get it replaced, then unfortunately i think its a waiting game until it goes again. As mentioned above, for what it can potentially cost, its far better to go for a replacement suspension kit like the KW V3's which will get rid of the DRC fault for good.

My DRC failed 4 times in 10 months, 2 twice in 1 month! Not anymore will I suffer the thorn in the side of Audi GMBH, Never again will I drive a blancmange. No more shall i have to listen to Audi dealers whinning and lying and charing extortionate amounts of money to repair something that should not fail in the first instant..... ALL HAIL THE COILOVER, SAVIOUR OF RS6 MANKIND......
Oh, and my car is a thousand times more drivable with the H&R's on it than it ever was, even with the Doesn't Ride Control working.

Mine has failed for the 8th time, and even with a gen-u-win Howdy warrantee (Yee ha!) I will be putting coilovers on. It failed less than 200 miles from my last repair.
In the words of my dealer, "The DRC is utter crap".

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately I've just renewed my extended warranty so need to stick with the OEM setup. Which is a pity as it's beginning to spoil my enjoyment of the car.

I reckon that if it wasn't for the DRC issues, many of the original owners would probably still have their cars because as you say, they're huge fun otherwise.
