Insurance pre and post mod

Yawn.

But who has any advice on insurance regarding buying a car and then taking it straight to one of the tuners.

Do you say no mods but will be, or ask if they will cover afterwards?

Or are there insurers that understand a bit about the cars and what we like to do to them!

Remaps I presume nothing is said, but if I can find the right car I'll be going stage 3 on the way home. Any advice welcome.

Warranty, same questions really, one car is a private sale with no warranty, so would need to fix something up before purchase. Any help welcome here too.

Thanks!

I changed from NU to Adrian Flux when I had some mild work, MTM remap, Milltek and pSS9's fitted to my RS6. NU wanted to double my premium... Adrian Fux actually put my premium down by £400 per Annum, so It's worth shopiing around. I sent Flux all modification details, icluding dyno charts and a statement of work done by the tuners, QST. It was a bit of a hassle, but worth it. Latest renewal notice has come through at £660, for full cover including business use.
