Big thanks to Grizz and Pete at Unit 20

Post by Pau1 » Wed Jul 09, 2008 1:10 am

Just a quick follow up post following my long trip down to the Wirral from Aberdeen. Big thanks to Grizz and Pete at Unit 20 for carrying out a full service, gearbox oil change, brake refurb with new EBC Yellows, Phaeton Cooling ducts and a lovely set of H&R Coilovers all in a day.

Very friendly and professional service with Bacon Rolls and Coffee supplied during the day, cheers Stigter!

For anyone considering ridding the car of its Evil DRC once and for all i can truely recommend fitting some coilovers. The car is so much more planted on the road now than ever before and with the new brakes and gearbox oil change my confidence in the car has been restored 110%

Here's some pictures of the beast before i head off to the Nurburgring this weekend... Hence the stickers...

The Beast looks great and the backdrop is equally fitting.

Good luck at "the ring". Let us know how you get on.

Some photos of the beast at the ring last weekend. Car held up really well but the brakes take a hammering. I am so glad i went to Unit 20 for the coilovers and Phaeton cooling duct otherwise the front disks would of been fried.

Hi Matt,

Thanks mate, didn't time myself or try for too fast a lap, its a very dangerous thing to do and just not worth it if you are wanting to drive home again. Brakes take an obsolute hammering in a 2 ton car. However watching back the video i took shows a 9:21 BTG, not bad at all.

Here's some new pictures on the Karussell chasing Sabine!

She's goes about 20mph faster into the corners than anyone else but the M5 is about the same speed on the straights.

Great pics Pau1. Were these professional pics or a mate? What power are you running? Have you uprated the brakes or put the extra ducts on?
