GEAR BOX OIL LEVEL

DOES ANY BODY KNOW HOW TO CHECK THE GEAR BOX OIL LEVEL. I HAD A SUMP OIL LEAK AND CHANGED THE GASKET. HAVE PUT 3.5 LITERS BACK IN BUT NOW I,M NOT SURE HOW MUCH OIL IS IN THE BOX CAN ANY ONE HELP :?:

It's simple ,On the sump pan there are two sump plugs , the smaller one is to drain the oil ,The larger is in a recess next to the drain .Start the car and put the box in "N".
Unscrew the large plug and pump in the gearbox oil .When the oil starts to come out it's up to the level.

when you start the engine does this start the pump in the gear box ?
