Tuning Advice/Problem

Evening everybody,
I wanted to pick some brains over a problem I currently have with the car, it is an 03 RS6 Saloon, which was totally standard up an till about 6 months ago I had a full milltek exhaust system installed including the sport cats, now since I have had it done you hear the turbos spin up and whistle is this normal?
Also I have had it on the rollers and it is pushing out about 470bhp. I was told it was running lean at the top on. The guy said it could be a MAF sensor gone or something. Is this a common problem on the RS6?
Last of all is their anybody in Surrey or the local area that I can take it to.

Likewise, I have VAG-COM so can run diagnostics and I live near Fleet.

thanks guys, will check out what im doing next week, im not to far from sutton..
think I need to get me a copy of VAG-COM and the cable, mind you even if I had it im sure I would not be able to work out what the codes mean.. lol

if the car is running lean, it will almost certainly have recorded that fact with a code. as you are probably aware, this is a very dangerous state for a boosted engine to be in. a dealer would be able to download the codes and assist in diagnosis.
i've never heard my car whistle, but i don't have a milltek system. otoh i have found myself whistling at the odd time of driving up behind a cop after a wot run

You can hear the turbos more with the Miltek sports cats/downpipes, in fact it makes quite a difference to the sound. Guess it's all down to the lessened silencing effort with less restrictive CATs. Nothing to be concerned about...
..But running lean is, as skiwi says, so it needs checked for sure. I use QST in Haywards Heath for all things RS6.

Will let you know what the outcome is, as if it needs parts they said they will do them under the audi warranty I got..
A Fleet meet does sound like a good idea as well...

well little update for you, just had a phone call from Walton, an they have given it a once over and plugged it in. no problems, no error codes, nothing all is well. So should I be worried about what I was told at the rolling road? do I need to start thinking about a bigger fuel pump? or anything else?

nothing to worry about. as stated there are codes for mixture and ignition-related conditions - and you don't have them. suggest the last thing to check is get vag-com (
www.ross-tech.com) and do a wot run with logging enabled.
