Tyre Pressure warning ?

I keep getting an annoying beep , followed by a crossed out tyre pressure sign on the dash
Is this saying that one , or more , of the sensors is in need of replacing ?
I am in for a full service in March , already need some vacuum pipes replaced to help speed up the engine warming , surely not more problems

Phil, that's normally what it means, only way to be sure is to run a fault scan using VAG-COM or similar on the Tyre Pressure Module. At least that's exactly what it meant on mine - that it cannot communicate with a sensor or similar fault...

join the club. Its normally for the rs to show a tire pressure fault. Along with the drc and the gearbox problems! Simple faults that Audi should of sorted out for us all years ago. I was ready to buy the new rs6 when it came out but i have changed my mind since they wont sort out the stupid problems we have with the rs i have now. I wonder how many sales of the new rs6 they wont get due to their poor customer care they have at the moment? Must be at least 50%?
Maybe somebody should start a poll and send it to audi uk?

correction, the tyre pressure fault is not normal. it is just that the batteries all have a similar useful life before they require replacing. it is now getting to 5 years since the car was produced, and the batteries are getting poked. i would be very surprised if *all* tpms have not had to be replaced within the next 18 months.

you can turn the sensors off via the menu tab (centre console) and you wont get any more warning lights but do keep an eye on your tryes though if going for a thrash.....

True, but it will warn you sometimes when you start the car by telling you the system is off - beep and off in the DIS display(as mine currenty is and does!).
