Hi Call Craig at www.tclsatnav.com He did a great job on mine. He lives in Sale, Manchester. He can also do Bluetooth and various other toys to enhance audio/tv in Audis

Regards

Jonathan

You have to remove the gala wire from the speedo to the nav unit; is best to put a switch in the circuit so that you can chose when to bypass the signal... as the same signal is used to work out your ETA on your journey. Thats what legendary craigyb can do for you.

there is a suggestion that there is a adaption code that allows the speed (gala) feed to remain intact. i'd be very reluctant to hack the speed signal or you lose nav accuracy.

Now that you mention it skiwi, I think your right.

I may be wrong, but I think its only the RNS-E version that can be programmed... best bet is to ask craig for price and am sure he'll give expert guidance.

mine has been done with no problems apart from the fact it really pisses me off not being able to watch the t.v without sticking the rs in a bush while every one else is watching away. Also the picture is not brill while your moving along.

There was a thread along these lines on the B5 forum a while back, it got a bit heated by the safety police.

You are completely correct about the speed thingy.Ive just got it done at my local place and he has put a small switch in that i can turn on to watch the TV and it cut's the speed signal and then i can turn off when im using the nav and i won't lose any accuracy.

Cheers

As mentioned above, Craig in Sale will do it for you by config, not switches. GALA all intact, but video signal (either from TV or the MediaPlayer he installed for me at the same time) continues uninterupted regardless. This is on RNS-E / DVD.

Old RNS-D / CD is simply a matter of plugging in a new cable to get TV-in-Motion, again without upsetting navigation accuracy. QST in Haywards Heath (Kim Collins etc) do them and I had one on a previous allroad.
