Linking TV tuner to RNSE Sat Nav

Hi All
Happy New Year
I have an 03/53 RS6 avant which I bought from another forum member and now wish to get the TV working.
It was manufactured with the standard non RNSE Wide screen Nav and the TV module. The previous owner upgraded the Sat Nav to RNSE but did not link up the TV.
Firstly, is there any way that the RNSE unit can be made compatible with the older TV tuner? This would be the easiest option and would do the job for a few years until we only have digital.
I have asked about getting a digital tuner from an audio specialist but it seems to be a complicated job involving new tuners, various wiring including video inputs etc and installing various new aerials that will be surface mounted and therefore visible. Indicative costs are also circa £1k which is not really worth it considering it will normally used when my wife is doing the shopping and I have volunteered to stay in the car with the kids.
I know that a lot of you haved done the RNSE upgrade and therefore and feedback will be truly appreciated.
The car continues to hugely impress me and I really really cannot find it in my heart to part with it as there is nothing out there in the market place that comes close without spending twice as much and frankly not delivering much more space, looks and driving pleasure...... BUT I guess you all know that already.
I was lucky enough to find a low mileage example in Black with optics pack, sunroof, RNSE, Cambelt done, DRC done, Tyres done, brakes done and recently serviced. Aside freom replacing the ECU and a brake bulb it has been excellent.
I am due to get the DSG/SMG E92 M3 in the spring, but this normal pleasure is somewhat dampened by the fact that I will have to give the RS6 to my wife who will skilfully engrave the alloys though time and then of course deny it and will miss driving the RS6 everyday
Kindest regards
Jonathan
