Just wandered if anyone knows if there is a difference between the kickdown performance in drive mode and then driving in sports mode?

I believe they both will rev to the red line and so guess the performance is the same but I may be wrong.

only the number of gears involved. in drive you could well kick-down 2 gears, but this is unlikely when in sports mode....

Kick-down in drive at 40mph results in three changes. Fifth to second. Somehow, this feels better than sport mode, as the beast wakes from a sedate sleepy drive to deliver a sledgehammer to the back.
