How much do you all pay and who you with and age, convictions etc?
Im 29 with a full clean licence and no accidents. At the moment i have a trade policy which covers me on any car fully comp and up to 5 personal cars at no extra cost. But they will only pay trade price if the car gets stolen etc. So i think i will be very lucky to get 18 grand after you take off excess etc. I pay £1600 for this policy for 2 people so works out about 800 quid each.
I thought it might be best to take out seperate insurance on the Rs6 which will cover me properly for 26 grand. But i have been quoted from 3600-4400 per year. This figure is stupid!
At present i have a 550bhp supra + nitrous with a massive spec list, a 53 plate BMW M3 and the RS6 all insured for less than 2 grand. !!!
Whats going on with these stupid quotes im getting on the RS6?

I'm 30, no points, but zero no claims bonus after a small accident at the beginning of the year..live in the sticks and car is garaged..my rs4 is £857 with elephant on a 10month policy with a £750 excess on a declared value of £44k..estimated mileage of 3,000 might have something to do with it being low. Same conditions on RS6 valued at £26k was £770 ish when I did a comparison. NU were ok too..the only company to take the mick were Zurich/Audi Insurance..took the free 7 day drive away cover and the quote if I wanted to take an annual cover was £5500.

Well, that's one advantage of being just over 49. My insurance has almost halved now. £414 comp, two drivers with protected ncb from More Than.

Ye thats what i was thinking. Only problem is that we only get paid out trade price if the car gets stolen. Or smashed but thats not a plan i have for the future. Im just a bit paranoid since i had some one try and break into my house and last night 2 lads on my drive which legged it when they seen me coming to the door. Thats 2 things in a week!
Who you with grizz ? tradex? seems you have a better deal than me. Are all 3 employees included to drive?

I'm 29 live in central London and keep the car on the street.
However, 9 years no claims and no points
I pay about £800 (don't have the exact figure to hand) through elephant

I am 24 with 2 yrs NCBs, 3 points for speeding and a crash in 2005. I live in Manchester which is high risk. This year I managed to pay just over £1400 on the beast. Mad really as I paid close to 2k on my first car which was a 1.3 Ford Ka LOL.
I was gonna get an M3 instead of the 6 but the insurance quotes swung it for me. Cheapest I could get was four grand and some insurers wanted close to ten!!!

24years old? bloody hell, i thought i was to young to have a rs6 at 29! Always looked at the rs6 as an old boys car! Would of brought one years ago if new we had some younger pups driving them around! Fair play to you tho. Must be doing well for yourself!

Cheers mate. Not too bad I suppose. Kept saying I would get an RS4 by the time I was 30 but got the 6 well before scheduled LOL. My next target is the 911 turbo...
You are right, it is an old boys' car; some of my mates called me Grandad on purchasing it - before the test drive of course - and I had had enough of toy cars (previously had modded Focus RS). I love the car; worth every penny. Also have an S3 as well at the mo but for sale in the RS246 classifieds at the mo (shameless plug hehehe!)
