Will it pass MOT emissions testing if the cats are removed?!

Possibly a silly question but will an RS6 pass its emission test on its MOT if the cats are removed? Was chatting to some of the B5 RS4 a few days ago and one chap has removed all the cats on his exhaust system and it still passed its MOT! I come from Rover V8-powered TVRs and wondered if I could get some of that rolling thunder back by removing the cats on the RS6. Has anyone on here tried this? Will it pass its MOT? Should I just get a Milltek system + be done with it?! Grateful for your comments.

another option if you dont want to go to the expense of milltek....I had the pre cats gutted and a set of 100 cell cats fitted (+ new flexi pipes) noticeable increase in performance, looks like a stock system, no significant change to in car noise (wife hasn't noticed!) and only £500
the car had an MOT last week with new set up and passed without any problems....
PS I'm not in the trade / associated - just a happy customer...
