Hi Chaps,

I bought 2 tyres for my old A6 from them and yes they fecked the alloys and paid for them to be 'refinished', about a month later I sold the A6 and bought the RS6 and got a sidewall blowout, I went to Krap fit as I thought they were the best place to be able source a replacement kwick and because I had complained and spoken to the area manager previously and so they did me a good deal (slightly better than the 25% disc), so I bought 4 and got 2 fitted and saved 2 for later. OH and yes they cought the alloys again!! and knocked me a further 100quid off!

I then got some new wheels (powder coated) and went to another kwik fit depo and they did a fine job with no fecking!!!!

There is no need to catch the alloys at all its all down to the monkey who fits them,

The moral is make sure you clean the wheels before you go and check them with the manager to show any marks before and after, it feels a bit anal to do this but i have learned the hard way, so will check with them before every time - with whoever fits them!!!!

Lig.

Doesnt matter what franchise it is, its the people who fit em that matters... Moral is be polite, speak with them and say that you'd prefer that they dont scuff your £2400 alloys, ask what size alloy they're kit can handle (you'd be surprised that lots of places still have old machines designed for smaller alloys and they push the limits with 19's / 20's which risks a F*** Up), don't go on a saturday lunchtime when they've got a massive que, go when its quiet and they've got plenty of time. Its simple risk management

Cheers

Think i used them for a set of PS2's on the M5 last year & their price & service were excellent.

Assuming it's the same firm?? You buy on-line from them & they send out a mobile fitter with your tyres, fit them, take the old ones away & even give the wheels a quick clean :) Will try them again as they were very careful with the wheels & a great company to deal with.
