HI All,
Just want to say i have found this forum very useful and informative- A big hand to you all.
About 6 week ago i bought a blue 2003 RS6 with black leather interior and sunroof and a whole host of extras (looks like new). It had 28k miles on it but now has nearly 30k post it's inaugural trip down to Le Mans in June.

.
What a fabulous vehicle, it is very different to what i still drive and have only ever driven being porsche 993s. The power delivery is very amazing.
I bought the car from Weybridge Vehicles (a very positive experience) - they specialise in Audis. It didnt come with a warranty but i bought one with MotorCare, a lifetime warranty that i have already tested via Docklands Audi- happy days.
Many thanks and hopeful we can chat more...

Never had a problem in the 993 esp with extra wide rubber being laid on the back. One thing that i can say from initial impressions is the lack of 'feel and feedback' in the RS6... But i am sure the quattro will help in the winter-- come rain/mud and snow..
Whilst i am here is there a button/ adjustment that moves the headlight beams when you travel over to the continent or do i have to go down the tape to the headlights route?

I think if you go to Audi they do something to the lights, think it's a electrical thing rather than a button.
Someone did get the answers on here in the last few weeks.

Welcome to the site as well.
I actually looked at your car having been recommended to Weybridge Vehicles by a friend of mine who's in the motor trade. Very nice car and they appeared to be decent people to do business with as they were very relaxed about everything. Only reason I didn't progress is that I found a 3 year old one with under 20k miles at he top end of my budget and hought sod it!
I previously had a 996 before this and I have to say I enjoy the RS6 more and slightly more practical having a wife, a 4 year old and a dog!
Enjoy!

Out of interest from your signature did you find yours at Fontains, because the description (optic pack) is similar to one i missed out on, admittedly Fontains car was £2/3k over what i wanted to pay for a 2nd car run around... I got the RS6 because i was fed up with the wife using the 993 like a delivery van- big items in small cars dont fit...

Yes it was Fontains. I originally missed out on it over the May Bank Holiday as I couldn't get over to them on the Saturday and by the Tuesday morning it had been sold. Then got a call the morning after I'd looked at your one to say that the sale had fallen through due to the Purchaser having some "tax issues" and did I want to come and have a look at it. Went down their straight away and came back with it that day! The only issue I have with Fontains is their Warranty which only covers claims upto £1k on any single claim! Having raised this with them re Gearbox/DRC issues they tell me that they undertook a full MPI and it was clear. Also rang the Audi Dealership where the car was originally purchased and maintained for the previous 3 years and all was well but then it only has low mileage. Saying that I don't think the Cambelt has been done so some cost coming up there!
What did you have to have done with Docklands Audi then?
Regards
Simon

classic i missed yours by a day or so as i was in france over the bank holiday too, i heard about the fake buyer flaking - very strange.
Since i have had mine went to Le Mans Race done a total of 1700miles. Recently i was in traffic in London and the orange engine mgt light came on, transpires i have a poor seal on the Mass air flow senor and ACF valve £150 job- warranty covered this, which was great. Decided to use Audi Docklands as they are closer for me and more convenient as Weybridge it bit of a trek. I have found Audi Docklands very good, but i do wince at their labour rates - i must be int he wrong job...Otherwise no probs - touching wood. Having a great time getting accustomed to the beast..

Well glad to hear it wasn't anything major and that it didn't take place in France.
How was the policing on the way down this year? The last time I went was 2 years ago and the old Gendarmes were everywhere. We decided not to bother last year and do a track day instead and unfortunately or perhaps fortunately I didn't go this year. Fontain rang me on the 17th so it was quite some time after they'd "sold" it and they'd had it supagarded for the guy as well.

Simon

Hi,
Mine was at Docklands yesterday and I picked it up today. Two nice looking Mugello blue ones with black leather were there this morning. Was one of these yours?

Hi simon Y - decided this year to go down friday evening and drive overnight, no police about, must have been past their 35 hr per week regulations Very clear roads too. Had a 'spirited' drive back on the Monday.
Hi Rek, yes mine was on the right as you drive in 2003 plate the other was an 2002 plate. Must admit there was a fantastic looking gray rs6 with fabric and leather seats on an 04 plate. Picked mine up this evening before closing time... How did you find their service dept? I am impressed considering i was skeptical about some of the 'stealer remarks'.
