Car went in and this is what needs doing.

4 new shocks (1 was done 800 miles ago) £????

1 DRC valve £569

Oh, and there's a little oil leak on each cam cover. To fix that leak is going to cost as least £3500 (28hrs) It's an engine out Joby

Thank God i got Audi warranty

A £60k 3 year old car needs all this done.
What if i didn't have a warranty, would you spend £6000+ just to get it back on the road???? That's about 20% of what the car's worth.

Camberley Audi are doing there best and doing a fine job as usual, i don't blame them at all, I hope she comes back sorted soon :(

One more thing, the previous owner of my wife's Range Rover has pissed me off to.

Look what they did to over come the fuel float problem.

Silly sods, no wonder we were getting funny fuel readings

mr hammond wasn't available for comment.

RSVI - sorry to hear about the suspension packing in again. Seems to be the norm for us RS6 owners, thanks for good old warranty. I've been thinking of going over to the darkside and getting back into a Bimmer. Failing that, might want to look into the Bilstien setup after more conclusive testing from fellow owners.

I'll hopefully be able to provide some feedback in a couple of weeks time.

Rich.

Does get you thinking tho' about who is gonna be able to run & maintain an RS6 when it's 10 or even 15 years old? :?

I think when the car's 8 years old and worth £18k ish and no warranty, who's going to spend £3500 to fix an oil leak or what ever it costs (£4000) for new DRC setups.

Crazy.

Fantastic car though! ! ! ! If you don't own one you should :D :D

If someone wants one, mines got new suspension, no oil leaks, new disks and pads, new wind screen front and back, new ish tyres, 8 months Audi warranty and knows the inside of the Audi garage with its lights off ;)

The front discs haven't been done yet but will be. (once i rob another bank(or two))

Audi told me that they will still warranty cars over 5yrs .... but the policy wont be the same.
