snoopers are great for aesthetically minded, they sit on the right hand side of the dash, snip the wire and stuff it straight into a fuse below. looks very neat.

Snooper Sapphire here, it's OK, takes forever to find the satellites, but that may be where I live. Actually prefered the S4 Neo I had before because it was 'flat' therefore velcroed nicely to the dash.

Road Angel Plus here, very happy with it and it has served me well since I bought it just over a year ago, and I agree with your preference for no wires hence the plus being battery powered.

You can conceal the wires pretty well though if you choose the one with wires, can be wired through the vents on the dash, so visible wire is minimal.

GPS units are the best for static cameras, however those offering laser detection are IMHO a waste of time, as the beam from laser guns is still less than 6" across at over 1000ft away, and the police need to aim it at something flat (such as the number plate) to get a valid reading.

So you may want to consider a laser diffuser ..... http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... 331#170331

I've got the Road Angel Compact hard wired into mine ... size is much better than the regular road angel and sits nicely on the right hand side of the dash under the pillar. As with most of these things they need to be regularly kept up to date.

Got a Road Angel Compact and a B2 at present!!

I'm not sure about the B2 as it doesn't seem to be giving me the warnings on Camera Van sites that the Angel does - I need to check the settings to make sure the previous owner (bought 2nd hand) hasn't switched off some vital function. Must admit it does get a bit lively when they are both beeping and squalking!

Wife is very worried about health of camera's - the Angel seems to have Tiff Needell saying "Sick Safety Camera" - family habit of saying "Get well soon!" to every Gatso we pass is growing!

Agree re the Radar detector feature (though I have it on both) - my feeling is that if just once it saves me, then it's worth it - and if I don't have it, then I can't complain if I get caught!

With any of these GPS detectors, can you set them so that they only bleep at you if you are going above the speedlimit when passing a camera ?? I find it very annoying if they constantly beep at you on your local roads where you know the speed cameras are.
