Has anyone had there plus wheels refurbed and got a colour match ok
If so who did them for you

Been trying to get a colour code with no joy

Am expecting my car back today from "Pristine Alloys" in Woburn , Milton Keynes.
They offered them to be painted in their own silver or the original Audi paint code. I chose the audi colour which was slightly more expensive.
All in service............. , tyres off, refurb (they were mashed up), original audi paint, tyres on etc £650

I have had a few sets done by them before (M3 polished etc, 911 GT3 Style) and they have been great, so fingers crossed!!!

£650 that is really expensive
I want to do them the darker colour like the Plus

Chances are they've done RS6+ colours before, and they're pretty cheap too.

Had many different companies do wheels in the past for around £300.
None of them ever look like they are 100% OEM in terms of finish and colour.

Happy to pay £150 a corner for work that looks OEM . Also for the removal and refitting.......roll in / roll out etc

Totally agree with Meluns... Only ever heard good things about Pristine Wheels and from feedback from other people a lot of the mobile vans either dont do a quality job or use a soft paint which doesnt last. The Audi spec for the paint uses something like three different colours in the build up to get the colour and durability. The local porsche/Audi body shop refused to even price the RS6 wheel refurb as they said that they werent able to get the colour correct, so if they cant do it in there shop then what chance does a mobile van stand!? £600 for OEM finish and good durability (they bake them wheels hard) is a lot cheaper than 2500 for a new set of alloys. I very nearly sent my alloys to them early last year but for a different reason Audi replaced them with new instead.

Sight dilema myself over this, I have some laquer flaked off one of mine, which indicates a refurb at some point. Colour is perfect, so someone somewhere can do this properly. Unfortunately my dealer has no info, although they have agreed to pay Wicked Wheel's invoice. Thing is, I'm tempted to live with a tiny imperfection than the hassle of someone having a go and b@llsing it up.

I'd be interested to hear how you get on - I think I'd approach any phone call with an upfront concern about colour match - "and are you 100% confident you can get a near perfect result before I go ahead?, ie have you done this colour match before?"

My understanding is that the part number for the wheel is 4B3 601 025 Q with a colour code of 1H7.
The wheels for the Plus (Graphite) are the same part number with a different colour code on the end.

A good wheel reburbisher will know this and get the correct coded paint to use on the wheel.
I could have saved £50 a wheel by simply not having the oficial Audi paint colour.

Dropped in to a Audi Dealer last week as I noticed an RS6 on the forecourt.
Maybe it was just me but they wheels just didnt look right? They looked certainly like they had been poorly refurbed and definately in
a different colour silver

wow ,£650 for 4 . we charge £50 -£70 + vat a wheel , thats tyre removal , bead blast , full repair & repaint . we can do ANY colour . refit tyres & ballance .
This is done in 2 pk with lots of clear coat.. the rs6 wheel is a simple wheel to do as it's so simple .
I've got a spare set for "loan" when a car comes in ....g

I've been told by my local Audi dealer in Inverness that the wheel colour is "Titan Grey". Previous Audi's were painted this colour, and they have a touch up set (Can of Titan grey metallic and a can of clear laquer) which the parts guy tells me is not an exact match with the wheels as the wheels have a tougher paint, but I've ordered it anyway, it only cost a tenner.
It'll be a few weeks until I get home and get round to refurbing the wheels, but I'll let you know how I get on when they're done.
