Well, you could look at http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/list.asp?s=360 to get an idea on prices etc.

Simple answer to age related costs is "yes" - and the solution is to get one with the warranty still in place.

Hi,

I've just bought a Mugello Blue 03 and researched the market well. Dockland Audi in London had a grey 03 under their approved scheme with only 28k on the clock for £31,000 or so they said. Unfortunately, I had only just bought mine or I would have gone for it. Most dealers are dropping prices from £35k to about £32k as I found this on a Mugello blue one in Chester.

As for advice, I was told by Audi that they are bullet proof with the suspension being the only known possibility for trouble.

far from it.
they have loads of issues, gearbox and DSG suspension being the most common. plus niggly little bits to go wrong, far too complex for their own good.
Although warranty is a possible solution, its still a headache having the car off the road every so often.

although a great car when they're working, i certainly wouldn't buy another.

Sounds a bad experience golfather, but apart from DRC taking a bit of a while to sort at the time I havent had anything else that isnt uncommon in any other Audi that I've had (such as a new indicator relay switch that I've had replaced in my last 3 audi's for some reason).

Just check the usual suspects Darryl and ensure that you've got a good warranty.

I must agree you must have had a bad experience!
RS models are normally trouble free as they come out at the end and it is tried and tested
DRC fault is the only fault I know of on them

I have had a few bits done on my mine

New fuel pump - Noisey
New A/C fan - Noisey
New water pump and tensioner as Noisey

All things I had picked up on over the last few months

All covered by warranty and sorted out in 3 days by Hatfield Audi :D

I must have been one unlucky barsteward, coz in 6000 miles I had:

1.Front offside wheel bearing
2.EGT Sensor (bank 2)
3.Lambda Sensor (bank 2)
4.Front Right Tyre Pressure Sensor
5.Engine water temp sensor
6.Gearbox
7.Front DRC shock absorbers and system bleed.
8.Front top mounts
9.Front mid parking sensor
10.Rear DRC shock absorbers and system bleed.
11. DRC Accumulators and yes, yet another system bleed !

All sorted under warranty, but still a major PITA.
