Did they bleed the entire system after fitting the shocks? This is quite a difficult process and if its not done right, cuases all sorts of issues.
Also, it might not be the shocks causing the rattle, look out for loose brackets, loose disc backing plates, worn top mounts etc.
Hope you find whats wrong with it as rattles can be the most annoying thing !

Possible faulty new shockers? Or take it to another dealer

Secondary pump shouldn't be excessivley noisy, and it only kicks in for a few seconds anyway.

I get a vibration in the accelerator pedal when I go over an small pot hole. Grizz mentioned he had the same. Do other people get this?

Right...
Just got the car back and it feels like it should do. No more rattling coming from the front and a slight feedback on the acc pedal over the bumps.
Overall very happy with the service. Got to see the car on the ramp and have a good chat with the service technicians who really knew their stuff when it came to the RS.
I spoke to the service guy and said that other people have similar problems and he said to give him a call and he will get the master tech to go for a drive with yourselves and go from there.
if anyone would like to give him a call the details are as follows.
Hatfield Audi
Mark Beadle
01707 277877
If you say you spoke to Barry he will do his best to try and get your car sorted.
I have had many experiences with Audi garages in the past and this one has excellent customer service and they really do look after you.
If you do live near this garage i would really recommend you take your car there.
Cheers

If your car becomes quirky going over bumps, then perhaps it means that the dealer did not replace the central accumulators when they replaced the front shocks. It is imperative that they do so, or else there will not be sufficient pressure in the system. Read page 43 (or thereabouts) in this link:
