Wheel

Post by krusty » Fri Nov 10, 2006 8:29 am

I found out yesterday that I have a cracked alloy.... If anyone knows of one or more for sale I'd be gratefull.
Also, can you get these repaired? I'm trying to duck out of the £610 that Audi want for a new one...

Cheers
K

I believe the best place to try is pristine wheels, but I am not sure about the integrity of the wheel at high speed!?

I have a "still boxed" replica wheel which I bought to act as a spare for my now sold RS6 when I hit a pothole. I bought an original (council paid) for the car but felt I wanted to carry a spare on lon journeys rather than foam!! It cost me £150 and if you are interested let me know. I will obviously sell it much cheaper.

when I hit a pothole
Given the photo you posted at the time, that would be better described as a cave!!! Well done for extracting the £'s out of the council... I have tried that one before for a tyre but got sent around the houses of responsibility.

I wouldn't trust a cracked wheel, no matter how good the repair. However, I can certainly vouch for Pristine when looking for cosmetic repairs/refurbishment.
