hello RS6 people

hello all
got a 3 year old rs6 and i still love it.
needs its second replacement set of vented discs after only 40,000 miles . is this normal??

Yep, 10-15k per set of discs if you drive it 'properly'

I'm still on my original discs and pads at 17k miles....I must be doing something wrong

28k miles here and original discs. Not sure about pads though as bought the car at 16k miles.
A lot of motorway driving is my excuse. Stone chips will back me up with that. Bloody salt lorries last week on the A1(M) so I ran into salt being spread at 80 mph. Nightmare.
