Hi Guys,
Just a quick question I hope i can get some owners advice.
How often do you guys get oil min warning light come up ? I put in 1 litre 2 days ago and have driven say another 100 miles and it came on again today !!
How many litres of oil do you need to top up generally ?
How many mile do you get on ave before refill.
On my S4 i used to get on average 100 miles.

All Audis I have ever owned use about 2 litres of oil in the first 10,000 miles. From there on the oil usage is minimal, maybe using 0.25 litres per 10,000 miles. If you are using 1 litre per 1,000 miles then, although this is probably acceptable to Audi, I would have an engine compression check.

I have never needed to top mine up, or the S4 i had before. I change the oil every 5000 miles as routine. If you are needing to top your oil up every 1000 miles because the oil light is coming on i would think you have something wrong.....get it checked out. As to how much oil you need to top it up, i couldn't tell you....but the dipstick will let you know when you are there

Likewise - I have never needed to top up any of my Audis between services, net even the 2.7T which was on variable service. The RS6 has never indicated anything other than 'Full' on the dipstick. However, I did, once, have to top up the wife's A2 - but that does about 15k between services.

I've never needed to top my oil up either - the level just doesn't seem to drop perceptibly.
