I have an 04 RS6 Avant with Pirelli PZERO Rossos. All the tyres are wearing in the middle but fine at the edges. Assume the tyres are too hard , what pressure should they be ?

40-44PSI for standard 19". Check the range on the sticker behind the fuel filler flap.
Use the higher pressure when fully loaded with passengers and luggage.

If you need new tyres the PS2's get good reviews here and ATS are doing 4 for 3 on them atm, saves you £250

With the Pirelli's I found they wore far more evenly running a pressure of 36psi; am running the PS2's at about the same, although one of my new set (3 weeks old) took a side wall beating on Friday when the girlfriend drove back from the restaurant and hit a savage pot-hole. Just managed to get home before total pressure loss... thankfully saved an old tyre so can keep mobile while Kwik-Fit order a new PS2 for wednesday.

I wonder if I ran the tyres at the extra 4psi that you are supposed to; whether this would give more or less protection to pinching the side wall of such low profile tyres???
