SNOWCHAINS

Post by londonplus » Wed Feb 15, 2006 11:17 am

Does anyone have any idea as to what snow chains would fit my Plus? I have heard of spikes spiders but am worried about the clearance on the top of the tyre because the pluses are 10mm lower than the standard cars. ?? :?:

I believe that you can purchase a system that effectively bolts onto the outside of your alloy, as most modern Audi's with low profile tyres do not have adequate clearance between the suspension and the tyre. I saw the system on a TT and an S-Line A4 in Tignes a few weeks ago, I would give your dealers parts dept a call.

I tried for asges a few years to some to fit my S4 and eventually found http://www.spikesspider.com/

They work well. I then lowered the suspension 30mm and they still fitted on the front wheels.

I think they are your only real option,
