Can't help you with dealers around the Bristol area, as i'm North West based.
On the matter of discs & pads, i trawled all over to find suitable replacements at sensible money, but found nothing so opted to upgrade my standard discs to the drilled discs through Audi, as the cost difference between standard & drilled as an after-market replacement is about £14 per corner.
Not sure if you already have the drilled discs, but this change is defo worth the pennies. Braking improves by about 30-40%.
As for pads, i've heard a couple of companies now do replacement pads for the RS6, i think EBC are one.

Due to some insane desire on my part, mine has virtually everything upgraded by AmD, Milltek & Sportec. The list is endless.

I have just ordered some EBC ceramic redstuff pads - £225 for back and front. I just need to get someone to fit them! (Note Audi wants to charge £310 to change the front pads alone - OEM )

Please please please, let me know how you get on with the new EBC pads????
Mine will need changing within the next 3 months & i've got a pal who owns a fairly big local garage who could fit them, so if you're feedback is good, then i'll invest in a set.

Can
www.vagparts.com get you the discs & pads any cheaper? You could then get a local specialist to fit them at a 1/4 of the cost that Audi want - I can recommend a specialist just off J13 of the M5.
Just a thought.

You can get cheaper pads through
http://www.speedways.co.uk/shop/index.html
I am getting my EBC pads put on front and back for £57 from a local specialist. (In comparison to Audi who quoted me £135)
I got my pads from

Have used Millhouse for years, they are quite good and usually dont get things wrong............. apart from that bit of bogus info, all my info says 40K miles, spoke to Audi Reading while looking at the 6+ they have there. If I can put a reasonable deal together with them, it might be bye bye Merc

In 20k miles I have eaten my way through the front disks and two sets of pads all round. I find the RS6+ cross drilled disks very good and from any speed they stop really well. I see no point in going for third party disks/pads.

In reply to your message, the discs and pads I got from vag parts are genuine audi parts but not with the audi dealer price and knowing audi give no warranty on brakes pads or discs(wear and tear ) why give them the pleasure. The discs I got are cross drilled and as far as I know its only audi that make them anyway.
