DMS tune done - impressive indeed.

have to say i'm very impressed, but for different reasons than i was expecting...
the car isnt dramatically faster than it was, but its a whole lot nicer to drive! gear changes are smoother and less frequent and the box just seems to be more in harmony with the engine...
it rides the torque in its existing gear on light to middle throttle etc without changing like it used too, and when i bury the throttle, it just does what its always done...fly.
mpg same ish ( less really but i'm giving it more stick at the minute)
all in all, very happy, made a great car better...now all i need to do is sort out the transmission tunnel's squeaky plastics and tje squeaky drivers seat!
be interesting to see how it stacks up with the traditional modders...

Unless you are in town, do you not change the gear to 'manual mode' i.e gearstick right? Therefore changing up and down is under your control.
I have been recently driving Aberdeen to Inverness via the Lecht which is a relatively quiet, twisty A road, and it is fantastic. I drive a standard avant, but foot down in second gear, powersliding around corners; braking with gears into corners. Nice!
I have to say I have become very comfortable with the tiptronic gear box now.

not yet as it was done outside at my place of work, so obviously no rolling road.
what spec is your upgrade and whats it actually running in comparison to the stock car??

My stock car figures were 447.6 bhp and 425.4 lb/ft and after the upgrade were 503.1 bhp and 505.5 lb/ft.
Your summary above is spot on as to the way my cars runs now, I couldn't have put that any better.

sorry demon? who tuned your car? AMD or DMS?
as in did amd do jsut the rolloing road for you or did they tune it?
also, mine seems to be getting faster in gear. Acceleration seems to be torqier ( is that a word?)
on a private strip, my car is now changing into 5th at an indicated 155, so i reckon its very very quick indeed...

Re-chipped and tuned on the rolling road by AMD and I kept the stock exhaust. I would imagine both of our figures would be similar as we are both experiencing the same grin factor
