its been doing it since i got it, but to be fair, its only just started really getting on my tits...

the plastic's i'm referring too are the centre consul, i.e from the arm rest forward to the dash, so all the plastic surrounding the hand brake etc

on accleration it creaks, on braking the same, and cornering is a positivel6y sonorous affair!!

had a a6 avant as a loaner when the turbo dropped and it didnt squeak once..

can it be 'sorted' or is it a tough <beep> situation...

IMHO it shouldn't sqeak - if we were talking about a Scooby or EVO then it would be less of a concern. Get it done under warranty and make sure they only investigate the area that currently squeaks and not the rest of the dash, door panels etc... it is usually an indication that they have been taken apart at some stage.

I had a number of creaks and groans fixed under warranty on the last service. The most elusive being the seatbelt mounting for the rear nearside passenger. It only creaked when you hit a certain profile bump at low speeds.
The part on yours hasn't yet (touch wood!) caused me any grief. The only one left to be settled is a buzzing somewhere inside the dash, roughly half way between the ignition lock and the top of the dash, that only happens on that stretch of the A19 between Easingwold and York. I reckon that's something to do with the harmonics generated by the ripply concrete road surface and not something I can replicate where I have it serviced (Chester).
