Is this a common RS6 Fault?

... or just a one-off - does it affect UK cars?

I can't say i've ever encountered the level of performance degredation that guy speaks of.

Saying that, my RS6 has many Sportec trick goodies that provide 10X the level of engine, turbo & gearbox cooling, so my oil temp never gets above 60 degrees even on a warm day in standing traffic, so i'll not be doing this Blue Peter modification.

The ambient temp in the UK only really gets above 80 degrees for a few weeks a year so i would not worry in the slightest, even in a totally standard car.

I was driving mine hard in temperatures of 36C last week and noticed nothing. At the end of a two hour, steady 120mph blast I got stuck in a three miles in one hour tailback and the gauges for oil and water never left their normal places, even though you could have fried an egg on the bonnet!

C'mon guys, the cars have been tested and tested over and over again, even in places where it's 50 degrees celcius.

I think it wil never reach those temperatures in "normal" conditions..

This summer i've blasted the A8 for atleast 4 hours at speeds above 200km/h in temps above 30 degrees celcius.
After that i stopped in a small traffic jam result; nothing, nothing changed at all.

That's the way it's designed...You shouldn't worry.

It can handle a lot more than you think! It's an Audi not a Lada.
An opinion is like an asshole, everybody has got one.
