Hooray , just had a call from AmD stating that all the Sportec parts for my new (& final) round of modifications have just arrived from Germany & the Beast is now booked in on the 12th April for 3 days to have them all fitted.

The bugger is that they could have booked the car in for next week, but i can't spend 3 days down South next week & i'm in San Fran the following week, so the delay is a little annoying , but the anticipation for those extra 2 weeks will be fun

I'll report back on the transformation once she's been fettled. Will have a 200mile drive home from AmD, so should get some chance to check out the improvements

The Sportec Performance Package will probably only add another 35ish BHP & 40ish lbsft but according to Sportec, these enhancements totally transform the overall on road & track characteristics of the car & for the 600BHP+ cars they have in Germany they do this work before adding re-maps & zorsts, as the performance package provides the largest driveability gains (can't wait to see).

Also having new H&R/Sportec developed springs fitted which were specifically developed to compliment the electronic active damping etc. & although they lower the car by 20mm, this should give a much firmer track drive, without making road use any more harsh.

Given what all this stuff should be costing, i'm just glad that Sportec (after much negotiation), agreed to do a cracking deal, as mine will be the 1st RS6 in the UK to have this package. I is an excited little bear. Roll on the 12th

I have no shame in admitting that racing at the 'ring is one thing I won't do.
