RS6 Suspension problem

I am an RS6 owner of just about 6 weeks and have a late 2002 RS6 avant with 42000 miles on the clock purchased from an Audi dealer. However, there appears to be a problem with a constant creaking noise coming from the rear suspension even if you rock the car when it is standing still together with a noticable worsening of ride quality at low speed and a lot of suspension crash- feels almost like a failed shock absorber but not sure it is. I have a feeling that something has failed but not sure what- any ideas what it might be so I can guide the dealer (driftbridge Audi will look at it although they did not sell me the car)
Kind regards
Jonathan

Ask the dealer to check the rear wishbone bushes,my RS4 is going in to have these replaced in a couple of weeks.

I recently had the same problem on my RS6+ at 8k miles. The dealer lubricated all the bushes but could not see any problem. Then about a week after visiting the dealer the suspension noise vanished. I only experienced this problem with the rear offside suspension and I could make it occur just by rocking the car.

My RS6 also has a creak from the offside rear, but this vanishes after a couple of hundred metres. Am considering asking the dealer to look at this when it goes in for servicing in four weeks.

Mine had a noise from the suspension when I took delivery. They had left one of the transit blocks in!!!!

I've cracked it. Apparently the RS6 has two additional rear dampers to harden up the suspension ( affects all four corners) at speed and one of these has failed leaving the suspension in its hardest setting. The dealer has only seen one failure like it before but knew what the problem was immediately. Will be sorted next week but meanwhile is a bit hairy to drive
