broken chain tensioner guide

So I broke my valve tensioner guide. Chain still seems to be tight around the tensioner and gears.
What are the chances that it jumped timing? Is it like 100% if the guide breaks the chain jumps?
Also has anyone had luck just replacing the guide itself and not the whole tensioner?

so I originally took off the wrong side (bank 1), put that all back on then worked on bank 2, got the chain tensioner replaced and everything put back together.
Now Bank 1 valve cover is leaking. I took it off again, double checked everything was cleaned, put back in and torqued down properly and it is still leaking.
I replaced the PCV and it didnt help.
Has anyone else had a lot of trouble getting the valve cover to stop leaking? I am assuming the gasket is just not seated correctly but it is a huge pain to get off and on in the engine bay.
Just wondering if anyone else had issues with cover leakage and what ended up being the problem?
