Boosting update

Post by Varks » Wed Jan 29, 2025 6:00 pm

Little update…….. on the non boosting issue I’ve had since I bought the car,
So first of all replaced various bits that I had in the shed,
Diverter valves, vac lines, N75, Lambda,
Checked the wastegate with a cool little fibre optic camera I bought (especially for this, don’t tell the Mrs) checked all the live data I could from lambdas, EGT’s, MAF’s etc etc with no luck,
Did several scans then had an issue with the CCM and found that the cabin filter holding was broken and was filling the car up with water, (another post about that) so CCM was toast, sorted that out with a replacement and thanks to several guys on here recoded it and re synced the keys, on scanning it again I realised there was a fault code for the engine coolant temp sensor, I didn’t notice it at first as I had done an auto scan it was in with the AC px sensor fault, so I bought a replacement, fitted it, deleted the code and boom, she’s boosting again! Cheers for all your help, it’s very much appreciated and we are lucky to have so many members with a wealth of knowledge that they are so willing to share :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

I'm guessing pressure sensor.

Thanks for coming back with the fix. Too often people will write up with the issues they have, but never come back to say what fixed it. Helps with future fault finding for others

It was the engine coolant temp sensor that was at fault, the code was together with another fault for the aircon. That's why he initially missed the fault
