Side light bulb change

Another reach out for advice. 1st order placed for Vagcom. Thanks all for info.

My passenger sidelight bulb gave up so ordered some osram w5w LED to replace the one that had gave up. Removed the cover, forgot how awkward they are to get off.

When feeling for the sidelight holder it pulled out by the two wires with ease, replaced with LED.... All good.

Thought it would be a good idea to change the driver side so both the same. Cover off back of headlight... I can rotate the bulb/holder by 90 degrees but it feels really tight.

Is there a method to release the holder from the headlight? did not want to break anything or do you just pull!!! so cover back on and await some advice from you guys again.

Cannot believe as the passenger side almost just fell out. If someone could let me know if there is a method to release it would be greatly appreciated.

Can now confirm that you just need to be more confident. Slight twist motion with some more force and the holder pulls straight out the headlight. Please note this is for sidelight bulb only. Actually getting the cover released and removed from the back of the headlight is more tricky.

Appreciate this is simples but maybe of use to someone in the future
