Hey All,
I have done a bit of a search and i know theres all the part numbers in the cambelt thread.
Where do you purchase your cambelts from do you buy the kits? what brands do people buy seeing a lot of Continental or Dayco?
Where do i get the bufkin pipe from too?
I am thinking of doing these while i have it apart anything else i should look at doing?
Full Cambelt kit
Water pump
82 degree thermostat
Bufkin pipe (Unsure if its been done before)
Thanks!

Hi Lewis

(It’s Craig)
Historically the Continental kits were highly regarded, but that opinion may have changed?
You can get the Bufkin pipes from almost anywhere I recommend Rene Rumler. You know this isn’t a nice job to do right

I would also ask your question in the C5 group and the RS6 group (which I just invited you to).

Ha ha. Are we married to the same woman.
I think I have blown the next 10 years budget in the last few months.
I think there is a rule on here about telling your other half what we spend on our cars !

Avoid the dayco kit. The belt is good (dayco is OEM), but the bearings and tensioners are made of plasticine.
