Who still uses there C5 as a daily
Who still uses there C5 as a daily
Who still runs there RS6 as a daily as I have for the last 5 years
Recently having to get parts for some work has proved difficult. I love the car and it wants for nothing and only has 83k on I use it alot clocking miles up an down the country and abroad. But I am wondering weather its worth making the RS a weekend toy an maybe getting a B8 RS4 or C7 RS6 as a daily or does the C5 have enough of a fan base that places will always manufacture parts and its just knowing where to go.

Mine is also my daily since I bought her in 2012 on 53K miles. Now on approx 130 K.
Parts are getting harder to find but I have sourced parts as and when I have needed them.
Most of the parts have come from Germany at Audi tradition and rs carparts also in Germany.

I can honestly say that the Rs6 has been one of the most reliable cars I have ever owned.

Yeah. I lost all brakes on two occasions.
Seized rear brake caliper boiling the brake fluid.
Broken brake booster valve.
But still the Rs6 has been one of the most reliable cars I have had even though it’s 20 years old.
Most of my previous cars were company cars which were
x changed every 3 years
I rate the 6 more reliable than any of the company cars I had.

Re: Who still uses there C5 as a daily
I use it as frequently as any of the cars I have - all of which are also old.
We do have a 12 year old mazda 5 - that's the family car that the Mrs uses. And fairly frequently needs some work doing - usually a seized brake caliper or a suspension arm.
But my cars are a 2004 MG TF, the 2003 RS, a 1989 Landrover and a 1997 Ultima Spyder (work in progress - not running)
I actually don't really want anything particularly newer than this lot - all these cars, I can do anything to them that they need.

Yes lander. I should also of added above that it’s also the most expensive car that I have maintained.
Some of the repair costs were essential.
But most of the costs have been my attempt at future proofing the car. Fingers crossed.

It’s my only car, but use the missus Leon FR for nipping round town. Train to work so don’t drive it that often.
Only did 2k miles last year….
