Hi,
Long, long story, but I have a 2003 RS6 saloon with a gearbox which has been rebuilt and I suspect has not been done properly. I'm getting nowhere with the people who did it, so I'm looking to get a second opinion.

Is there a reputable specialist in Scotland I can approach. I'm at the end of my tether with this as its gone on for 9 months and I need to get it resolved.

The car had the gearbox removed and rebuilt because it was slipping in all gears. It was then tuned and the gearbox ECU replaced (allegedly)

Since then second gear is not behaving correctly. It is unpredictable when it shifts, sometimes clunks into gear and sometimes slips at high revs. All other gears seem OK.

Sounds similar to the issues my mate was having, turned out to be cracked gearbox oilfilter/pick up housing. Quite easy to install wrong and break it without noticing. This was on a brand new box from Audi....

Also sounds like the little pipe above the valve body that splits at the flange. There was a thread on it a while back.
