20 year old birthday present.

Post by steve2003rs6 » Thu Feb 23, 2023 10:20 pm

Just to mark the occasion of my teenager turning 20 on the 07/03/23.
Bought her a present (again)
Tom Tom essential with hands free messaging and phone calls.
I loved my old Tom Tom. But this one is at another level.
Ecilop can now sod off as I am hands free.

Also fitted two new heated wing mirrors.
Wasn’t happy with the fit. Almost touching at the top and a big gap at the bottom.

Removed them and bought better quality ones.
This time a even fit. So I am happy in the end.

Hi Matt. They are not auto dim mate.
I don’t mind spending on the car but £700 for auto dim wing mirrors.
I cannot justify it to myself. These cost £20 each and are a lovely fit.

I understand and feel the same - but I'd like my £20 ones to be a lovely fit, so if you could point me at the ones you got, that would most appreciated.

Matt. The original connectors will be a bit loose. The two tangs for the electrical connections on these mirrors are slightly smaller in thickness.
I used a pair of pliers to crimp the original fittings a bit.
Then all was ok.

Nearside headlight has been booked in on Monday to remove the U V discolouration.
This time it will have a clear coat on top.

It’s always the nearside one. The offside still looks like new.

Then MOT this month. Fingers crossed.

Still waiting on the garage to exchange the steering rack.
