Airbox riser?

My car is due an oil change so I'm seeing what else I can do.

I came across Rene Rumler's IG. He has been doing some interesting things.

If my engine or gearbox ever implode I'd like to ship it off to him and drop some cash... although I don't have the cash at the moment so hopefully the 6 treats me well.

His manual conversion looks pretty intense:

I'm wondering about his billet airbox riser to create more volume & flow:

Thoughts?

Probably the only induction accessory I've seen that look credible. All those K&N filters losing the cold air intake and having less filter area - yuck!
So this does look nice, although I wander at what horsepower level the existing induction becomes a bottleneck.

The intake spacer is good but if kit.

I ran it for about 6/7 months before grabbing a bargin on some apikol intakes.

I recommend the spacer to anybody that only standard or stage 1 tuned.

I'm at 580 so maybe these will help.

I'm curious if the Apikol kit changed the sound?

The apikol kit does change the sound massively.

Also flows a lot better too so helps with power and torque gains
