Period accessories (Audi, MTM, ABT)
With the FIS unit (cheaper in UK than DE), and period floor mats on the way.... The car might be done, done.
(Until I have to take the engine out again...that list is scary expensive)
With that said... I like the hunt for parts
Does anyone have, or has seen, interesting period accessories from Audi, MTM, ABT etc that were around in the early 2000s?
I've hunted around a bit myself and think I posted the MTM & ABT catalogue on here. I didn't see much that I liked.
Any new ideas?
Was there ever a shading device the rear window of the Avant?

Re: Period accessories (Audi, MTM, ABT)
I have them in the doors.
I guess maybe I have the rear tailgate also.
They're all manual instead of motorised like the saloon I assume?
I'm mainly after some trick period accessories.

Interesting that the solar panel (for air flow when parked) was part of a "Warm weather" option package along with the (manual) side window blinds and electric rear blind.anditsoundslikebells wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 7:39 pmAnd the Audi options list.

My 2002 S8, and every other one I've seen, has those 3 as standard. If it was an option everyone specified it.
I don't think the A8/S8 had the carbon trim option though.

You got the Plus pedals and foot rest?

Re: Period accessories (Audi, MTM, ABT)
I was lucky enough to piece them together as OEM from Germany at a reasonable price.
They really lifted the cabin.

Re: Period accessories (Audi, MTM, ABT)
I also found this well spec'd US car:
https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/aut ... 2-etc.html
Which mentions a Sportec RS600 engine undertray mod:
http://motorsports.chrismore.com/2010/1 ... n.html?m=1
Here is the actual Sportec RS600 example: I seem to have missed this one with my past research.
Anyone tried this?
Any downside to this?
