The nuts!

Post by ChrisA » Sat Jan 28, 2023 6:03 pm

So I’m looking to replace a number of nuts and bolts while putting the rear suspension back together and nearly <beep> my pants when I was quoted £2.5 per nut (N90635001)! I know it’s peanuts in the grand scheme of things but I hate feeling like I’m being taken for a ride.

Am I right in thinking these nuts are just M12 x 1.5 hex collar nuts? I can get these for around 40p per item. Is there any reason why I shouldn’t take these over the OEM?

Use a good after-market supplier for non-specific fasteners.

I use a local fastener specialist or Westfield and Bolt Base for anything they don't stock.

Westfield have a good reference section too

I get most of my fasteners from here:

Thanks guys, great sites.

For those of us that aren’t as clued up as most on here about the specifics of nuts and bolts, I found this site an education.
