Brake discs refurb

Hi guys
While I get the suspension parts powder coated I thought I would be nice to get the discs shot blasted and the bells painted, there’s no lip on them so I don’t need to get them skimmed.
My question is can I just remove the bell from the two piece or is this likely to upset the balance when I put them back on.
Cheers,
Chris.

Dunno because those aren’t OE disks. At least the fronts aren’t. The rears don’t come apart.
The front look like fairly standard aftermarket jobs. You might need some new fasteners if you do try to separate them.

For what it’s worth Chris I would not separate them.

Yes, the rears are OEM and don’t come apart.
The fronts are EB and I would have replace the fasteners too. However the bells aren’t bad and I’ll think, as Steve said, ere on the side of caution and leave them alone.
Thanks guys.

Try a wire wheel or polish ball in a drill just to clean them up

Or protect the friction part of the disc. Then light shot blast the rest. I did that once with mine using a cabinet grit blaster. They came up a treat.
