Lemforder Top Arms

Post by Mɐʇʇ » Thu Jan 12, 2023 10:32 pm

Is anyone able to confirm the exact lemforder part numbers for the front upper arms please?

Why?

Because if I look up the Audi part number and cross reference it, I get a different set of numbers than I do if I use the AUTODOC and ECP parts lookup against our cars.

So I’m now confused.

Have you tried the Lemforder catalogue?

Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper

I did.

Lemforder's catalogue lists 21030 01 as a compatible part with the RS6.
But lemforders Audi x-ref part numbers for this part does not include 8E0 407 509 P

And if I then search for 8E0 407 509 P on the lemforder site, I get lemforder part number 21613 01, which does have the RS6 part number as a cross reference

Both listed as an upper front right control arm.

Any clue?

So you’ve got the ones that cross reference based on part number, not their parts guide. I assume they fitted and all is good with them?

Fit like a glove and visually exact match :). I matched them through part # from 7 zap and AutoDoc. Look also the same as the ones on my 2003 RS6 donor.

Yeah, I always use part number x-ref, but this time came up with different numbers, which was odd. Anyway, all on order and looking forward to wrestling with the pinch bolt

In my experience the easiest way to remove the pinch bolt if stuck is:

1) Cut it as close as you can to the housing
2) Drill a hole in the center of the bolt
3) Air hammer it out with the pointy bit

Good luck :)

All done with the lemforder arms as listed above. Also did the front ARB drop links at the same time - and as above, lemforder are the OEM (Audi logo is ground off). I got the drop links from ECP:
