What have I done?
What have I done?
Normally new years resolutions are supposed to be aspirational and generally positive. Then again, my first Audi was an RS6.
This S8 is spec'd with the ceramic brake package, having never experienced one all I can say as it is superb.
Ultimately I feel as though the 6 has prepared me well for the common issues/idiosyncrasies of the D3 and especially the V10.
Re: What have I done?
They are great cars. A friend has just sold his for the second time (bought it back after selling it a first time when the engine lunched itself).

How is that not a positive New Years resolution. Great purchase!

Re: What have I done?
Thanks gents, I drove it home today about 300km. Like travelling in business class. It has adaptive cruise control, which makes like so easy on the open road. The radio has an issue (Japanese import wrong frequencies) so unfortunately I had to put up with the V10 howl...I can confirm that it drinks more fuel than the 6.
I have to mention the brakes again, they just keep biting the more you push the pedal, and the body is proper stuff for a 5 metre long barge.

Re: What have I done?
Make sure you keep those air-flap rails well lubricated and corrosion free. Had no end of trouble with my friend's when they started sticking.
Adaptive cruise is ace. I hated it at first and now I hate driving a car without it.
The D3 is all aluminium, isn't it? Probably not much heavier than the RS6.

Lander. Is that the rs8 that was advertised on this site under the cars for sale section.
I read the advert with interest a few times.

Hi Steve, I don't think so, then again I haven't seen that post.
Shop, yep aluminium body. I've an OCD list of things to do like replace all fluids and filters with genuine parts, then it's pull the intake to check out the carbon build up status and inspect/clean/service the flaps.
