Carbon fibre

Post by Sxcarmyboi » Sat Nov 26, 2022 5:25 pm

So over the last 3/4 months I haven working with a bloke that does fiberglass, Kevlar and carbon fibre products.

I asked him if we would be willing to make some bits for me for my RS6. He was very willing and started cracking with making the first bits.
These turned out to be the air intake guides.

After these he then started on the next part. C pillar covers that actually replace the original covers.

Next week I should be getting my B pillar cover too.

We also have lots of stuff in the pipeline for the C5 RS6 but don’t forget some parts will fit other variants/models too.

These work out at £290 for a set although I have heard he’s thinking of doing a little sale around Xmas time so may be able to save some pennies on deal

I’m sure if you could get 10 people he would be happy to do a deal and maybe more discount for more people

He has also told me that’s he willing to do a Xmas deal on set of stuff. But hasn’t told me what.

Hell, I'd get them just to replace the megashite OE ones that fold like a wet origami as soon as you try to tighten the clip on them.

Must admit, did cross my mind also... along with what'd be the best way to get a decent attachment/seal without damaging the CF Image

Carbon fibre is so much stronger and rigid than plastic
You also have to remember the clips don’t have to be mega tight if anything you don’t even have to run any clip really. Because there is no force attached with them

I'm being daft - forgot that the flexible section goes over the duct (not the other way around), so the clip shouldn't even touch the CF.
