Ok, so what are we talking about when you say the subframe too, just the 4 bushes? How tricky is it to remove the sun frame from my position?

Re: Rear end suspension rebuild
I’ve finally managed to separate the hubs, bearings, bushes and speed sensor from the carriers. Now all that’s left is to lis everything and get it all off to the powder coaters and platers.
Re: Rear end suspension rebuild
An assortment of nuts and bolts back from the platers. They’ve not all turned out as well as I would like but I’ll replace the ones I’m not happy with.
Brakes are going off to Godspeed tomorrow. They’ve got a long wait time but the cars not going anywhere and I’d rather have a powder coat finish.

Nice work Chris. It will be well worth it in the end.
I always enjoy watching your progress.

Well this is an improvement. Got all my bits back from powder coating now.
Re: Rear end suspension rebuild
It's amazing how powdercoating can restore what otherwise appears to be a bit of junk, isn't it.

Absolutely. Can’t wait to get it all fitted. Brakes are still with GodSpeed, went with OEM black.
Just need a little bit of welding done, then I can repaint the arch’s before refitting the liners.

Looking sexy Chris.
Yes powder coating is the way to go.
Any idea when you will have her on the road ?

I’m booked up with work until October now, however I’m hoping once I’ve got all the bits and bobs it shouldn’t take too long to put back together. With any luck she might be back on the road around End of September.steve2003rs6 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 31, 2023 7:24 pmLooking sexy Chris.

Indian summer Matt ?
Re: Rear end suspension rebuild
I don’t consider the RS a “summer car”. Id be happy to just see it sitting on its wheels again.
