Hi Everyone,

My RS6 has the usual Navigation Plus .... CD states empty..... not showing CD in the unit! However CD wont go through the front slot.... Any help appreciated.

Do you know if there's actually a CD in there already or not? You might have to partly dismantle it to find out and remove it.
If the CD drive or CD are faulty it may not recognise there's one in there so you can't eject it.

For reference, the Nav+ unit is actually two units with just a simple ribbon cable between. The security code is in the lower radio half which has the display attached to it.
The upper (CD + GPS) half can, if necessary be just swapped to a spare unit, if you can find one (I have done that in the past when the CD drive was faulty!).
I presume you know how to get the whole system out of the dash?

I've forgotten how you take it apart but it wasn't difficult. And I think you might just be able to lever the top plate off and then push the CD out.

Any as they physically dont go through the front slot......

There might already be a CD in there. Have you tried ejecting it from the menu of the RNS-D?

BTW, do you know the RNS-D won't play audio CDs? The CD slot if only for the navi CD.

OK, rewind, NavPlus101. Where EXACTLY do you get the "no CD" message and what EXACTLY is its wording?
(There can be confusion between Audio CDs in the 6-CD changer unit usually in the boot and Navigation map CDs in the head unit)
