Genuine cable from Ross-tech would be my advice.
Cheaper cables are available but I would go for a genuine cable.
I have just bought genuine oil cooler hoses from Germany. But they are not silicone.

I used RSCarparts in Germany.
Email them with your enquiry.
Good company to deal with. My initial contact was Benjamin. Site is in German but there is the option for English.

IIRC when you get on the site the option for German/English is in the top right corner.
Hope you find it.

Probably Steve has opened the site in Chrome and the browser is offering an on-the-fly translation. Like so:
Daytona RS6 C5 Avant. Viper'd, Billies, Waggers, MTM box brain, C6 stoppers, xcarlink, R8 coolant cap (woohoo)
///M3 E46 | XC90 (V8, natch) | Passat GTE | RR Classic V8 flapper
"The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair."

Hi Ben. Yes mate I am using Google Chrome.
And yes that is the page I get when I go on their website.
Forgive my ignorance I thought everyone used chrome.

Definitely agree, assuming you have a suitable Windows laptop to use it with.steve2003rs6 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 02, 2022 9:04 pmGenuine cable from Ross-tech would be my advice.

Just Google or go to the RossTech web site and you'll find links to official UK dealers such as Gendan.
Gendans web site has an enquiry form so you can ask them what they think too.
For an RS6 you don't need the absolute latest everything so a standard limited 3-VIN cable will probably suffice.

Opinions may differ, but after trying to keep those do88 silicon boost pipes in place for months, my best decision was to come back to oem. They've kept popping off and sliding on the metallic pipes...silicon uprated intercooler pipes
Nevertheless I have a set for sale if you're smarter than I am!

Did you get the turbo, crankcase set or vacuum hose set? I got all 3 (plus coolant hose set) but not got round to putting them on yet. Seemed a sensible replacement of the old pipes but “feel” inferior to oem intercooler pipesClassik wrote: ↑Sun Nov 13, 2022 9:20 amOpinions may differ, but after trying to keep those do88 silicon boost pipes in place for months, my best decision was to come back to oem. Re: Best place for silicon uprated intercooler pipes and VAGCOM etc
I've bought the turbo and crankcase kits, and I've only kept the hoses that go to the diverter valves at the front of the engine. Everything underneath the admission manifold started to show signs of deterioration so I came back to the oem setup for good.
Regarding vaccum hoses, I also think the oem is a perfect fit : silicon hoses are very fragile if not reinforced, and if they are (reinforced), they tend to be quite big and difficult to clamp properly.
Another variation of "bigger is not necessarily better" for those vaccum hoses : as the idea is just to control valves, if the internal diameter is too large it would consequently take more time to suck air, so less responsiveness in the end.
