If I had to guess, I'd say it was off the engine mount. What colour are the wires going to it?

Cool. Suspect you'll need a new engine mount then. :)

Sounds like someone knocked it off and then decided the best course of action was to just stick it back on Image

Had a few jobs done locally and they have broken stuff and not told me.
That really winds me up.
Whenever I have had work done on my car.
I always say if you break something then please tell me and I can get it repaired.

That’s the main reason that I now use unit 20.

Yeah I know. Its unfortunate. It's one of the reasons I'm doing many jobs myself. That way I know who broke it i.e me, most of the time Image

So far I've found things either broken or simply not properly done. The PS pump failed because the cooler lines were leaking (and I didn't fix it fast enough)... Then I found someone had used the wrong type of clamps on them. Image

So today was a clean day Image

Wheel archers will be done later. Today the suspension was priority.

Shiny suspension. Noice.

Looks like your IC are leaking though.

Yeah they probably are. I will know for sure now that I cleaned them and there isn't any grease or oil being flinged about. I've a couple spares. I'll see if I can find a regurbisher.

Answer the question "Do I need to remove the shock assembly to remove the upper control arms?" the answer's no, no I didn't.

Suspension and wheel well cleaned up. Same on the other side

Before shot. Both sides where the same. On the right, grease from the drive shaft boot, on the left oil from the power steering.

Starting reassembly. (with whatever little time I have Image)

I do like a nice clean undercarriage. :)

Same here. It was hard work but well worth it.

... On another note, can't find engine mounts within reasonable time. Need the car back on the ground soon. I've rewelded the sensor to the mount but I doubt that's going to work well.

I will put that job for later, that's assuming the engine mounts won't throw the engine management light. Right?

I think I remember seeing some on Autodoc.

They do throw a check engine light, annoyingly. You could keep the old one plugged in - presumably it wasn't giving errors.
