Has anyone got a link to the correct Ti nipples please?

As for colour, I’m going for misano red. There’s a little additional cost but I think it will look good.
Is that paint your getting done then Chris? Who did you decide to send them to?

Looking at SSL Autoparts. Found them on eBay and they have loads of positive feedback. Price was around the same as your guys but all the extras seem a lot cheaper (nipples £25 however mine are all fine, Misano red only and extra £25), I’m just waiting to see if they do titanium nipples but they’re closed until the 3rd.

These arrived from Westfield today, they look just the ticket and potentially miles more beneficial than the OE button heads in the event of corrosion and seizing on.ImageImage

My seal kit, shims, and retainers arrived for these calipers, also completed modding my cabinet..

The one caliper with the sheared nipple is still at the local engineering firm. I'm getting a bit fed up waiting on it, TBH !

As soon as I get it back, I'll be blasting them in my cabinet.

Looking good guys. 👍

I was wondering if anyone had refurbed their callipers themselves? Surely the process isn’t that hard once the callipers removed. Remove nipples, springs on rears, pistons and seals, high temp masking where required, send off to powder coaters and springs to platers, pick parts up and refit pistons, seals and nipples and apply graphics.

Yes, I can be very naive at times. 😊

The nipples can be a total bastard, the thread is fine, it's M10 x 1.0 and the nipples have a waist on them, pretty much right above the point where the nipple disappears into the body and just below the hex, they're just asking to sheared off.

The caliper I handed into a local engineering Shop 2.5 weeks ago is getting uplifted tomorrow, don't think he's done anything to it, so I'll drill it out as close to the thread crest as possible and fold it in with a set of fine punches, hopefully get it out that way. You can buy a repair kit for it.

I've another couple of options so I'll get my thinking cap on before I start on anything, it's the only thing that's holding me up.

The garage that refurbed my Volvo rims last week will charge me 40 quid to powder coat both, they'll do them when a set of gloss black rims come in..

I'll update as I go for anyone that's interested .

Could really do with a drill press for this job..

Just to add another pic to this thread I had my calipers done by Brake Caliper Refurbs in Rochdale. I just decided to go low key and had them match my cars Mugello Blue, at least if it need touching up I already have that colour. Im happy with them and one nipple needed to be helicoiled as it had lost its thread. I also put on some Wezmoto braided hoses as I ended up cutting the original ones off.
