Rear ns window
Not often anyone on the back seat.
Tried to lower door window with door switch and nothing happened.
Tried to lower window with drivers door switch and nothing happened.
However using the remote control pressing the unlock function for about 10 seconds all windows fully open.
Similar by pressing the lock function for about 10 seconds all windows close.
So obviously the mechanism is ok.
Could it be coincidence that rear ns door switch and drivers door switch stopped working at the same time.
Or is a fuse to blame.
Any ideas very welcome

Re: Rear ns window
Is the switch to deactivate the rear window switches turned on? Does the OS window switch work?

Re: Rear ns window
Like a child-lock switch to prevent rear passengers using the windows. But if it’s only one rear window then it’s not that. Must be a wiring fault. I’ll have to have a look at the wiring diagrams to see how the switches are wired.

Re: Rear ns window
Ah ok Ben. I thought the child lock switch was to prevent the rear doors being opened.
I didn’t realise it also affects the operation of the windows.
Cheers mate.

Re: Rear ns window
NO! These are two totally separate systems.
The child lock door-opening is usually a mechanical switch (little movable tab) only visible when the door is open, operates on that door individually.
The rear window opening inhibitor is an electric switch usually part of the drivers window controls, inhibits both rear windows.

Re: Rear ns window
I would imagine it’s the driver switch that’s gone, the rear switch will just be an extension so still powered from there. The fact it opens and closes from the key shows the window works with power from the locking ecu and mech is fine etc

Re: Rear ns window
Cheers mate. Will check wiring on both switches.
If that fails will try and get two switches.

Re: Rear ns window
After operating the rear window a few times with the remote control. The window got stuck in the open position.
The window can be rocked side to side if you grab hold of it.
Anyway managed to order the inner mechanism from Germany. Also got hold of two rear horizontal window seals. I think they come with the ally trim.
Currently with customs for import tax.
Whilst at it. Also obtained oil cooler and 6 x cooler/transmission hoses.
In addition obtained rear door window switch.
And hopefully another ccm.
